THE SELECTION BY GEORGES HELFER

"Ready to eat" quality, 300 days a year

Kent

The most commonly sold variety in Europe

Egg-shaped, its base colour is green, with a red surface on the areas most exposed to the sun. When it ripens it turns a golden orange colour, while retaining its red blush. Its flesh is an intense yellow to orange-yellow when ripe.

Keitt

A smooth-textured variety

Oval in shape, its base colour is similar to the Kent, turning an orange-yellow or red when ripe. Its texture is soft and smooth, yet fibrous. Not as popular as the Kent, it is nonetheless playing an increasing role during the periods of low supply during the switchover from one country of origin to the next.

Perfectly ripe

Innovation with a view to delivering quality and meeting consumer expectations

Refining and ripening

Upon request, and in accordance with precise specifications, we accelerate the fruit ripening process by placing it in a ripening room. Our cutting edge ripening rooms, which are fully automated, enable the circulation of hot air around the pallets, thus ripening the fruit evenly. Our ripener ensure the proper progression of the ripening process, 7 days a week, and checks each pallet, crate by crate, piece by piece, prior to every dispatch.

Quality Control

All of our products are inspected upon arrival and thereafter on a daily basis, in order to verify how ripe they are, to monitor their external quality and their taste quality.

Packaging

4kg crate (transported by boat) / 6kg crate (transported by plane)

Preservation / storage

The mango is a fragile product. As with the avocado, if you wish to allow it to ripen naturally it should be stored at room temperature. To accelerate the ripening process, store in a warm location (18°C to 25°C). To slow down the ripening process, store at 10/12°C
