"How do you confirm that a fruit is ripe by touch?"
To avoid damaging a fruit, you must first of all avoid digging your fingers into it. If you push too hard against it, a bruise will appear, eventually resulting in the complete decay of the fruit. In order to squeeze a fruit with appropriate pressure, all you have to do is place it in the palm of your hand and apply light pressure on top using all four fingers (see photo below). This will be sufficient for you to feel if the fruit is soft, and you thus avoid damaging the product.
