Georges Helfer was 18 when he set up his business.
It was during a trip to California that he discovered the avocado and decided to start importing exotic fruits.
Everything he chooses to travel by cargo plane is totally unknown in Europe. And this is the challenge he has taken up for 60 years in France.
Year after year, advances in transportation have facilitated the fruit and vegetable trade.
But behind the progress, there is the will of a man at the start, then of a solid team today, determined to meet the challenges of a sector that they are helping to develop.
